SMS Mobile Ticketing

Intercity Services is always on the move to research and market new technologies to provide better and fast services for our customers to reach us through the Ticketing System, ticket counters and call centers.

Starting from June 03, 2008, Intercity Services has embarked on a new era of servicing 'SMS Mobile Ticketing', the easier way to book train ticket.

KTM Komuter Tourist Pass


In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007, KTM Berhad will introduce a special pass for tourists to travel on the KTM Komuter from January 1 to December 31, 2007.


This special pass is called KTM Komuter Tourist Pass and is valid for an unlimited travel on the KTM Komuter trains for one day to any destination within the KTM Komuter network.


This is one of the ways for KTM Berhad to show our support towards Visit Malaysia Year 2007 as it offers convenience and value for money for tourists to travel to the various attractions located near the KTM Komuter network. The pass may be used by both local and foreign tourists.


There will be three categories of KTM Komuter Tourist Pass sold, namely “adult”, “child” and “senior citizen”. Fares for an adult ticket will be RM12 while child (4 to 12 years) and senior citizen fares will be RM6. Children below 4 years old may travel free of charge.

Tickets are sold at all KTM Komuter counters. Ticket validation may be done via the automatic gates as well as by ticket inspectors on board the trains.

The passes however, are not valid for travels on board the KTM Intercity trains.

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Lim Ah Lek

Chairman of the Board

Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Lim Ah Lek, aged 65, was appointed to the Board as its Non-Executive Chairman on 2 January 2006. He is also the Chairman of the Establishment and Service Committee. Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Lim was a former Cabinet minister holding the portfolio of Minister of Human Resources from 1989 until early 2000 for a period of 10 years.

Y. Bhg. Dato' Mohd Salleh bin Abdullah

Managing Director

Y. Bhg. Dato' Mohd Salleh bin Abdullah, aged 54, was appointed to the Board on 1 September 2002. He is a member of the Establishment and Service Committee, Tender Committee and Risk Management Committee. Y. Bhg. Dato' Mohd Salleh was formerly the General Manager of the Project Management Department and handled various major projects, among which is the ongoing Rawang – Ipoh Electrified Double Track Project.

Puan Anis Rizana binti Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd Zainuddin

Puan Anis Rizana binti Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd Zainuddin, aged 38, was appointed to the Board on 1 January 2008. She is a member of the Audit Committee and Tender Committee. Puan Anis Rizana’s present position is the Principal Assistant Secretary, Investment, MoF Inc., and Privatisation Section, Ministry of Finance.

Y. Brs. Dr. Ismail bin Jamaluddin, aged 50, was appointed to the Board on 14 November 2007. He is the Chairman of the Tender Committee and a member of the Risk Management Committee. At present, Y. Brs. Dr. Ismail is the Deputy Secretary General (Operation), Ministry of Transport.

Y. Brs. Dr. Aminuddin bin Hassim, aged 39, was appointed to the Board on 14 November 2007. He is a member of the Audit Committee. Y. Brs. Dr. Aminuddin is currently the Director of Corporate Services in the Economic Planning Unit.

Y. Bhg. Datuk Othman bin Abd. Razak, aged 59, was appointed to the Board on 10 February 2006. He also serves as the Chairman of Multimodal Freight Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of KTMB, and a member of the Audit Committee. At present, Y. Bhg. Datuk Othman is the Adviser to the Y.A.B. Prime Minister.

Y. Bhg. Dato’ Mani Usilappan, aged 57, was appointed to the Board on 10 February 2006. He also serves as the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and a member of the Audit Committee. Y. Bhg. Dato’ Mani was the Director General of the Valuation and Property Services Department, Ministry of Finance from April 2005 – 6 February 2006.

Y. Bhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Aida Boey binti Abdullah

Y. Bhg. Puan Sri Dato’ Aida Boey binti Abdullah, aged 58, was appointed to the Board on 24 May 2006. She also serves as the Chairperson of KTM Distribution Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of KTMB. From 2000 until her retirement in 2005, she was the Under Secretary in the Ministry of Finance including a short stint as advisor to the Economic and International Division of the ministry.

Y. Bhg. Dato’ Wong Mook Leong

Independent Non-Executive Director

Y. Bhg. Dato’ Wong Mook Leong (Barrister-at-Law), aged 64, was appointed to the Board on 4 September 2006. He is currently a businessman and housing developer. Y. Bhg. Dato’ Wong also serves as a Panel member of the Investment Panel of PERKESO since 1987.

Y. Bhg. Dr. Kader Sultan bin Md Ismail

Y. Bhg. Dr. Kader Sultan bin Md Ismail, aged 67, was appointed to the Board on 24 May 2006. He also serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and KTMB (Car Park) Sdn.
